Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Ledgique (“Ledgique,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our marketing website (including pages served from our primary domain and related subdomains), request access to our services, or use the Ledgique grocery commerce platform (for example, tools for storefronts, catalog, orders, pickup, and local delivery). Our product experience may be accessed through storefronts at yourbusiness.ledgique.com-style subdomains (the subdomain reflects the business name), through operator tools such as app.ledgique.com, and through other URLs we provide from time to time.
Who this applies to
We describe practices for (a) visitors and prospective customers who interact with our website or sign-up flows, and (b) business users (“merchants”) who operate stores on Ledgique. If you are a shopper purchasing from a merchant that uses Ledgique, that merchant is typically the primary controller of your order information; we process such information on their behalf as a processor or service provider, as described in our agreements with merchants and in the sections below.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and account identifiers. For example, the mobile number you submit to receive a sign-up link by SMS, your name, email address, business name, and similar profile details you choose to provide when creating or managing a workspace.
- Commercial and operations data. Information you or your team enter into Ledgique to run your business, such as catalog data, inventory, pricing, tax settings, fulfillment rules, staff roles, and customer service notes related to orders.
- Transaction and delivery information. When merchants use Ledgique for online sales, we process order details needed to operate checkout, pickup, and delivery (for example, basket contents, fees, delivery windows or zones, and status updates).
- Communications. Messages you send us (for example, support requests) and transactional notifications we send you about your account or service.
- Device and technical data. Such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device identifiers, dates and times of access, and diagnostic logs that help us secure and improve the service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. As described in our Cookie Policy, we may use cookies or local storage for essential operation, preferences, and—if enabled—analytics.
We ask you not to send sensitive categories of personal information (such as government ID numbers, full payment card numbers, or health data) through unstructured fields unless we explicitly request them for a defined purpose.
Sources
We collect information:
- Directly from you (forms, account settings, uploads, support conversations).
- From your devices when you use our website or platform.
- From merchants when they use Ledgique to operate their storefronts (including information their shoppers provide at checkout).
- From service providers who assist us with hosting, messaging, payments, security, or analytics, where permitted by contract and law.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Ledgique’s products and website.
- Authenticate users, configure workspaces, and deliver features described on our site (including storefront, catalog, orders, pickup, and local delivery capabilities).
- Send transactional SMS or other messages related to your account or access requests, consistent with the consent and disclosures presented at collection (for example, our sign-up notice about SMS frequency, opt-out, and carrier charges).
- Process billing where applicable, including plans denominated in INR as shown on our site.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Monitor for fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our terms; and comply with law.
- Analyze usage in aggregate or de-identified form to improve product design and reliability.
Legal bases (where applicable)
If data protection law in your region requires a “legal basis,” we rely on bases such as: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating a secure and efficient platform (balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and consent where we expressly request it (for example, certain marketing messages or non-essential cookies).
How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers and subprocessors who host infrastructure, route SMS, process payments, detect fraud, or provide analytics—subject to confidentiality and processing terms.
- Merchants, where necessary to complete flows you initiate with them (for example, fulfilling an order placed on a merchant’s Ledgique-powered storefront).
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) where required for audits or corporate transactions.
- Authorities when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Ledgique, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information as traditionally defined in privacy laws.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the data type and whether you maintain an active account. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained longer where permitted.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords, device security, and prompt reporting of suspected unauthorized access.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights offered in your region, contact us using the details below. For SMS, you can follow the instructions we provide at signup (for example, replying STOP to opt out where supported).
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules may grant you specific rights and grievance mechanisms; we will respond in line with applicable law. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, GDPR-style rights may apply to our processing when relevant.
International transfers
We may process and store information in India and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
Children
Ledgique is a business platform and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the age where parental consent is required in your jurisdiction. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@ledgique.com. Please include enough detail for us to evaluate and respond to your request. Merchants are responsible for honoring shopper rights requests that relate strictly to the merchant’s own relationship with their customers; we will assist merchants as required by our agreements and applicable law.
